Why can't a coach message some players or the whole roster of a Team?

Note: As of July 9, 2018, Blackbaud's School Management solutions (which include Core, onBoard, onCampus, onMessage, and onRecord) are utilizing a new top level navigation. A coach clicks on the message button for a student on their roster. or clicks Message Members, but cannot message the player(s).
The reason why a coach cannot send a message to a team roster is because the team is not in season, once the team is in season, the coach will then have the ability to send messages to the players. Until that time they will have to send an actual email to the roster if the coach wants to contact the team out of season.

You can set the Days to Default to extend the availability for an athletic season. To do this, navigate to:
  1. Core > School > Years and Terms
  2. Select the Schoool Level
  3. Within Athletics Seasons, change the dates to extend the beginning or end dates of the Season(s).
