When I commit my constituent update batch the constituents address is not updated

When using a constituent update batch to update address information, you may see that the primary address is not updated to the new address. You have marked this field as TRUE or YES in your batch, but when address is only imported into the database and is not marked as the primary.
  1. Option 1 edit your batch template
    1. Go to Revenue
    2. Click batch entry
    3. From the task, menu click Batch template
    4. Click expand next to your constituent update batch
    5. Click edit
    6. Click configure settings
    7. Click Constituent updates tab
    8. Uncheck the box to use Global settings
    9. Go to address updates
    10. Next to "Make new address primary"  click always
    11. click save
    12. Run your import process 
  2. Option two edit your constituent update settings from within the import process 
    1. Go to administration
    2. Click Import
    3. Click expand next to your import process
    4. Click edit
    5. Click set options
    6. Click Constituent updates
    7. Uncheck "use batch template settings"
    8. Go to address updates
    9. Next to "Make new address primary"  click always
    10. click save
    11. Run your import process 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Select a constituent in the database
  2. Go to Administration > Import
  3. Select Generate import header file in the task bar > Choose Constituent Update Batch
  4. Enter the following information into the file:
    1. Constituent ID
    2. First name
    3. Last name
    4. Address
    5. City
    6. State
    7. Zip
    8. Primary Address: True
  5. Save the file to as a CSV > Close the file
  6. In the import screen > Add 
  7. Expand the constituent folder > Select constituent update batch
  8. On the add import screen enter a name on the configure import file
  9. Upload the CSV file
  10. Next auto map your fields
  11. Select the address collection field > select map collection field
  12. Auto map this field > save
  13. On the set options tab > select quick find on search list fields
    1. Select ID on Search list fields
  14. On constituent matching tab choose to process automatically. 
  15. Save > Start process
  16. Navigate to the batch that was created
  17. Expand the addresses field in the batch > see that the updated address is not checked as the primary
