Under Analysis rights on the record of a security group, system admins can view and choose whether its members can access Analysis — and if so, which metrics.

  • If you manage security by group, admins can view and choose whether a security group can access Analysis — and if so, which metrics under Analysis rights in Control Panel, Security.

  • If you manage security by role, admins can view and choose whether a financial role can access Analysis— and if so, which dashboards under Roles in Control Panel, Security.


Set a security group's access to Analysis
  1. From Control panel, select Security.

  2. Under Security groups, select the name of the group.

  3. Under Analysis rights, select Edit rights.

  4. If the group's members should access Analysis, select Access to analysis and choose which types of analysis the members perform.

  5. Select Save.

    Note: It may take up to five minutes for security changes in Control panel or the database view to take effect.


Set a financial role's access to analytics
  1. From Control Panel, select Security and Roles.

  2. Under Financial roles, select Edit role from the role's menu .

  3. Under Analyze tasks, choose which dashboards the role can access.

    • For all dashboards, select All dashboards.

    • For specific categories of dashboards, select the dashboards the role should access, such as General ledger dashboards.

    • To view each individual dashboard associated with a dashboard category, select Show permissions.

  4. Select Save.

    Note: It may take up to five minutes for security changes in Control panel or the database view to take effect.
