When data is entered on the Telephone/Email/Links/Fax/Other tabs of a record, on the Bio1/Org1 tab, users can choose to have a red checkmark appear on that tab. This allows users to see, at a quick glance, which tabs have information included. This setting is user specific and is set within the User Options of The Raiser's Edge.

However, sometimes there appears a red checkmark on a tab that looks to have no data included. The reason this does not show up is because the information is marked inactive. While it doesn't display the system still recognizes that information is there.

To see the "hidden" data, mark the "Show inactive phones and emails" in the lower left below the phones section. This will show the phones marked as Inactive:
