We will want to build a query to exclude those patrons who have given to the designation, to show us who has not given to the designation using the steps below.

Step 1: Build query to be used as exclusion:
  1. Navigate to Analysis, then click on Information Library
  2. Click Add an ad-hoc Query.
  3. Select the source view of Revenue and click OK
  4. In the left column, select Application Details. From the middle column, drag Designation System Record ID  to Include records where. Set equal to the designation we want to exclude.
  5. (Optional) To exclude donations in a certain date range: In the left column, select Revenue. From the middle, drag Date into Include records where. Set date range between X and Y.
  6. (Optional) To exclude donations of a certain amount or more: In the left column, select Application Details. From the middle column, drag Amount into Include records where. Set Greater than or equal to X.
  7. In the left column, select Constituents. From the middle column, drag Name to Results fields to display.
  8. Click Set save options tab and Name query
  9. Mark the Box 'Create a Selection'
  10. Mark the Box 'Show this Selection in the Query Designer'

Step 2: Use this query as an exclusion in an existing query
  1. Navigate to Analysis, then click on Information Library
  2. Click Add an ad-hoc Query.
  3. Select the source view of Revenue and click OK
  4. In the left column, expand Selections. From the middle column, drag selection from Step #1 into Include records where. Set Equal to No.
    • Note: Setting the selection is equal to No will exclude any constituents that are pulling into that query from your existing query.
  5. Click Set save options tab and Name query
  6. Save and Close
