Users have the option to enable the "Specify effort budget, expenses, and goals" setting while configuring a direct marketing effort. If this option is turned on, the Average Gift Amount KPI will not display the overall goal status while collapsed. Clicking the down chevron will display the goal status widget with the correct amounts.
We are currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future service pack.
Steps to Duplicate
1. Setup a new marketing effort and enable "Specify effort budget, expenses, and goals". 2. Add segments with past performance to populate the goals more easily. 3. Configure the Universe to include the desired records and complete the Source Code setup. 4. Navigate to Effort Settings > KPIs and add the "Average Gift Amount" KPI 5. Generate segment counts, export the effort then activate. 6. Using the finder numbers in the export file, add revenue to the marketing effort via batch or import 7. Refresh the effort and refresh the Average Gift Amount KPI 8. Note that the collapsed summary shows $0 Goal Value and 0% Variance, however, if you click the down chevron the Goals display properly.
