There are multiple reasons why Attendance records might not save: 
 
1. Navigate to Academics > Scheduling > Schedule Outline > Schedule Sets 
 Ensure the role of the person taking Attendance has an Access date entered.

2. Check if the Student has any obligations for the date selected.
If there are no Obligations this is why Attendance is not saving because there is no record/Course to record off of.

3. Open a course the student is enrolled in and verify if "Record Attendance" is set to Yes. Even if you do not take class attendance, at least one course needs to have Record Attendance enabled in order for Attendance to be saved/Recorded.
  • Navigate to: Academics > Scheduling > Requests and Schedules > Departments and Courses
  • Select Edit into beside the Course name and ensure Record Attendance is set to Yes
  • Select Save & Close
