Note: Over the past several months, we've worked to ensure our schools have more control over constituent data. The data import process now enables data managers to import new records and refresh existing records. The process is completely self-managed, so you can upload data at any time without waiting for a reply or interaction from Blackbaud staff. In order to use the data imports to add or update constituent data, your files must adhere to the Data Import File Layouts. With this process solidly in place, the Data Refresh option is no longer needed and will be removed from the application on June 26th, 2019.
A data refresh inserts enrollment rows only one time when adding a new student to Core. The number of rows the refresh adds is determined by the current (or upcoming) school year and the grad year of the student.
No, a data refresh does not touch the enrollment rows of an existing student. However, it is possible to manually add enrollment rows to the student.
