There are various reasons why Blackbaud Smart Tuition cannot have two school years open for enrollment at the same time.  Most of which is to ensure a seamless enrollment for the upcoming school year and to make sure parents do not mistakenly sign up for both school years and make payments to the wrong school year account.

Blackbaud Smart Tuition changes the online enrollment for the upcoming school year usually around fall so here's a few suggestions on what the school can do when this happens:

1. If the school is not yet ready for enrollment for the upcoming school year, please contact  Blackbaud Customer Support to make sure your online enrollment is set for the current school year. When the school is ready for enrollment for the upcoming school session then the school must contact Blackbaud Customer Support once more to have the online enrollment switched to the correct school year.

2. If the school is ready for enrollment for the upcoming school year but is still expecting late enrollment for the current school year, then the school must make sure that these parents are not directed to the online enrollment.  Instead, the school administrator must Manually Enroll a Family into the current school year.
