When filling out a new Smart Tuition contract, a parent with an existing account may wonder why their payment information did not come over from last year.
Payment information will not pre-populate based on the parent's previously entered information. Because onBoard is not payment software, we do not store any payment information in order to maintain PCI compliance. This means that for parents who went through the process last year, onBoard will not store any information that they have entered.
For parents who have info in Smart- the integration flows from onBoard to Smart so we would not automatically pull that information in. The pre-filled billing address, phone number, and email pull from Core. Additionally, since it has been typically a full year since the last time the family has filled this information out, we want to confirm it and make sure that they know what we'll be billing.
