Gender field missing in default set after upgrading to Patch 8

Users report that after upgrading to the Raiser's Edge 796.6401 patch 8 the Gender field value in saved default sets is now blank.

We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Steps to Duplicate

1. Select Tools, Organize/Create Defaults from the menu bar
2. Highlight the appropriate record type (e.g. Individuals, Organizations, Gifts) on the left and click New
3. Set Gender to a value (e.g. Male or Female)
4. Name the default set
5. Click Save and Close
6. Update Raiser's Edge to Patch 8 of 7.96
7. Review Default Sets and confirm Gender is now blank
