Error: Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information: Cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server.SSL Error 4: The operation completed successfully when logging into a hosted application using the Citrix Receiver

When clicking on the application icon to launch the database view for The Raiser's Edge, The Financial Edge or The Education Edge, users may receive one of the following errors: 

Error: Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information: Cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server.SSL Error 4: The operation completed successfully when logging into the Raiser's Edge using Citrix receiver.
Error: The published resource is not available currently. Contact your system administrator for further assistance.
Error: Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information: Cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server. Protocol Driver error.


 
These errors may occur when a Windows workstation has installed a version of the Citrix Receiver that is lower than 4.6. This may also occur for any Windows workstation with Citrix Receiver version 4.11 installed. Please review What version of Citrix Receiver do I have installed? to identify which version of the Citrix Receiver is installed on each user's workstation. 

To resolve this error:
  1. Uninstall the Citrix Receiver.
  2. Download and install Blackbaud's recommended version of the Citrix Receiver.
