The New Donors Report, found in the Analytical Reports, lists all first-time donors within the specified date range and filters. The report includes constituent name and information about their first gift (gift type, gift date, gift amount, fund name and appeal name).

For steps on running the New Donors Report, refer to:
What is and how to run the New Donors report

Note: The New Donors report can also be used to identify if a person is a new donor to a particular fund (or campaign or appeal) in a certain date range.  In this case, the New Donors Report may show donors who have given before.
  • In other words, if you run the report on a selected Fund, such as the Annual Fund 2009.  If a donor gave previously to other funds, but never to the Annual Fund 2009, if their first gift to the Annual Fund 2009 falls within the date range and other parameters of the report, this donor will show up in the report due to the fact that they were a new donor to that particular fund. The system does not look for the absolute first gift in this scenario.
