The appropriate frequency setting for each service depends on many factors including the size of the databases, speed of the server, configurations, number of roles, etc. General best practices is as follows:
  1. Role Refresh: Set to run nightly
  2. Fundraiser Synchronization: Set to run nightly, and possibly often for right before the event
  3. List acquisition and refresh: Set to run no more than every 20 minutes
  4. User Imports: Set to run nightly
  5. Email: Every one minute
  6. Raiser's Edge Integration: Should be set to no less than every 60 minutes
    1. Note: The default setting for The Raiser's Edge Integration is 500 records every 60 minutes - If you have a large amount to updates queued, you can change the number of records to a higher amount. Once the queue has cleared you should change this setting back to 500 as it can cause performance issues.
