Request a forgotten user name and/or password reset link through the website
Requirements: A User Login part or Form Display part is configured to allow password resets. The username is linked to an email address. This will also confirm the username, after clicking the reset link in the email address.  
  1. On any User Login part or Form Display part on the website, select the link for Forgotten Password (Tip: Any user can log in using this. If you have rights to the NetCommunity "backend," then those features will still be available logging in using the User Login part.)
  2. Enter your email address (Tip: Try your work email or any possible personal emails that may be linked. If you have access, look up your constituent record in The Raiser's Edge to note the emails listed on the Bio1 tab and confirm your username on the NetCommunity tab. NetCommunity user passwords can NOT be reset in The Raiser's Edge.)
  3. Click Submit
    • Notes: A confirmation screen will display regardless of whether or not the username is linked to an email address. Be sure to check your Junk/Spam email folder in case the Password Reset email is diverted there. If no email address is linked, the Password Reset email will not be sent. If needed, update email address associated with your username.

Ask another Blackbaud NetCommunity user with Supervisor rights to reset the password
Requirements: The user must be able to see Users & Security in the NetCommunity site. Only users with NetCommunity Supervisor rights can see this. 
 



Reset the NetCommunity Supervisor password (if no Supervisor user is available or the Supervisor user needs to change their password)
Requirements: If your NetCommunity site is hosted by Blackbaud, this request can only be approved by certain users. Please refer to the link below:


Change User ID/Password Part or Profile Form Part
Requirements: User must be linked to The Raiser's Edge and know current username and password
  1. Log in to the NetCommunity website
  2. Navigate to a page that has the Changing User ID/Password part or Profile Form part on it
  3. Update desired info:
    • To change the username:
      1. Enter a new username
      2. Click Update
      3. Confirm current password
      4. Click Update
    • To change password:
      1. Enter a new password
      2. Confirm the New Password
      3. Click Update
      4. Confirm your current password
      5. Click Update
