The following error message displays in place of the typical reCAPTCHA distorted-text challenge images.

This is a security measure to help prevent fraud.
Unable to load the reCAPTCHA image. The public key (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) might be invalid for this domain.

Confirm if this is happening for all donation forms or only one donation form. If you are on NetCommunity version 7.1 or below (non SP1+)
NetCommunity versions 7.1 (non SP1) and below are only compatible with reCAPTCHA version 1. Compatibility for reCAPTCHA v2 was not introduced to NetCommunity until 7.1 SP1. 
Note: Google no longer supports reCAPTCHA v1. This means if you are on an older version of NetCommunity, you may not be able to utilize reCAPTCHA. 
You must upgrade to the latest version of NetCommunity that meets Googles compatibility requirements.

If reCAPTCHA has already been configured in NetCommunity, but you are nevertheless receiving this error, follow these steps to troubleshoot:
  1. Verify that the domain that you are currently using is the domain that you were using when you generated your reCAPTCHA keys in the above steps.
  2. Verify that you or your IT staff have not made any domain, sub-domian, SSL Certificate, or DNS changes. If changes are made to any of these things, you may need to follow the above steps again to generate new keys with reCAPTCHA.
