If you want to continue saving the record as is and your business rule settings are to Warn User of duplicates, simply click okay and continue with your record.

If you want to find the duplicate record the error is referring to:

1. Go to Configuration, Business Rules, highlight the record name you are creating (vendor, asset, etc)
2. Review the Duplicate criteria
3. Search for the existing record using the criteria

Additional Information
  • To turn this business rule off, Unmark the Automatically check for duplicate checkbox
  • To make it so no duplicate records can be added:  Keep the Automatically check for duplicate checkbox checked change the drop-down menu to Do Not Allow Duplicate XXX
  • To add more criteria for duplicates click on the field name to choose a new criteria
