Error: The value you wanted to change did not exist on this record when globally adding Volunteer Type, Status, Start Date, or Education Major/Minor

This message appears with or without the Overwrite existing value checkbox marked.
This information is considered "secondary data", and it does not have actual records to change. Rather than using a Global Change, use Import to change the information on groups of records:

  1. Select Admin > Globally Change Records
  2. Select Constituent and Click "New Change"
  3. Include a query of records
  4. Under Volunteers, select Volunteer Type
