Recognition Filters are incorrect and are eliminating membership payments

You may notice when viewing the Recognition Summary or Recognition History Tab with a Recognition Filter, you see an incorrect value.  For example, it could show $0 or it might be missing all donation revenue.
This issue has been resolved. If you experience this error, please chat with support to provide the exact steps that were taken.

When using a filter in the Recognition History tab, it should include:
- All commitments
- All payments for all applications types other than pledge
- Payments for pledge if and only if the filter is set to “Include recognition for pledge payments even if the constituent already received recognition for the associated pledge”

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to Revenue > Reporting Filters
  2. Edit the Default Recognition Filter for Individuals.
  3. Select the option to "Include recognition for pledge payments only if the constituent did not receive recognition for the associated pledge" and Save.
  4. Add a donation to a new constituent record. Make sure the donor receives hard or donor recognition credit on the donation.
  5. Go to the constituent's Recognition History tab and apply the Recognition Filter. Note that no data shows.
  6. Go back to the Reporting Filters and change your recognition filter to "Include recognition for pledge payments even if the constituent has already received recognition for the associated pledge"
  7. Go back to the constituent's Recognition History tab and note that the donation now appears. This donation should appear regardless of the setting as it is a straight donation payment.
